Hi, I’m Dan. I love bringing concepts to life through clean, intuitive design, and meticulously refining to deliver exceptional experiences.
I knew I wanted to be a designer from a young age. One of my earliest memories is learning how to write the alphabet – carefully sketching each letterform, counting all the strokes, noticing which letters had curves and which ones didn’t. (I like to think of it as my first typography lesson.) Later in childhood, I was constantly sketching ideas on how to redesign tools I interacted with – clunky TV remotes, poorly organized NJ diner menus, labyrinthian car console layouts. I was fascinated by why certain design choices didn’t work, and what could be done to simplify and improve.
That fascination has led me to become who I am today, which is a designer with simplicity as my guiding philosophy, and an everlasting desire to improve lives by delivering great user-centered solutions. I'm fundamentally an optimist about new technology, particularly in how it can be used to create more meaningful experiences. For AI, VR, and whatever else is just around the corner, I believe that products designed with great user experiences and the right ethics in mind will continue to change the world for the better.
